Inside My Mind

Given that I was born and raised on an island, it's impossible for me not to draw

inspiration from the sea as a designer. The ocean has always been my home,

where I can walk along the seaside whenever I want, breathe, and find serenity.

I experience the delight of an awakening with each wave. Since I was a young

child, the sea has inspired me in terms of texture, colour, sound, and form,

which is the reason I'm establishing this collection.

The starting point of “inside my mind” is an oyster. It has a fluid inside texture

and extremely hard outer protective shell. Inside of the oyster reminded me of

waves. I wanted the wearer to travel to the main source of inspiration and

wanted to create a beachy mood with everything that we do.

Secondly, the oyster took me to another level of inspiration, which is anxiety.

Waves of thoughts and the feeling of being trapped inside of something is

present. These two contrasting elements, anxiety and calmness of sea, are

reflected in the collection. These contrasts are represented in the collection by

being fragile and powerful at the same time.

Lastly, my main muse is a strong women and I always start designing from

imagining my woman. In my graduate collection, I wanted to create a women

that is powerful and strong.
